LOS ANGELES (AP) -Matt Kemp hit a grand slam to cap the Los Angeles Dodgers' 10-run first inning Saturday night against Colorado Rockies left-hander Mark Redman.

Kemp hit a sacrifice fly for the Dodgers' first run then hit his first career grand slam as the Dodgers sent 13 men to the plate and forced Redman to throw 45 pitches to get the first three outs in his Dodger Stadium debut.

Los Angeles parlayed six hits and four walks into its most productive inning since May 6, 2005, when they scored 10 times on 52 pitches in the opening inning of a 13-6 win at Cincinnati. In that game, Jeff Kent had a two-run homer off Paul Wilson and capped the rally with a three-run double against Matt Belisle.

Redman walked Andruw Jones with two outs and the bases loaded, then gave up a broken-bat, opposite-field single to rookie Blake DeWitt on an 0-2 pitch to give Los Angeles a 5-2 lead.

Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny lined an RBI single to center, Rafael Furcal doubled and Juan Pierre was hit on the right elbow, setting the stage for Kemp's homer to center field on Redman's 43rd pitch of the inning.
