Diamondbacks' Hudson has MRI on hamstring

PHOENIX (AP) -Arizona second baseman Orlando Hudson could be out up to 10 days after an MRI revealed a strain in his right hamstring.

Hudson had the MRI before the Diamondbacks' 6-4 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Asked if Hudson might be headed for the disabled list, manager Bob Melvin said, ``It's an option. It's just we don't want to jump the gun. What they're saying is five, six, seven, maybe up to 10 days. They don't think it's a 15-day thing, yet you get a little bit hamstrung if you don't have (Hudson).

``There were some things I might have done a little bit differently tonight had I had a full bench,'' Melvin said. ``It's something over the next day or two we're going to have to evaluate.''

Augie Ojeda replaced Hudson in the lineup and went 0-for-2 and was hit by a pitch. Hudson was removed in the seventh inning of an 11-4 loss to the Phillies on Monday night. He's hitting .274 with three home runs and 17 RBIs.

Hudson missed the last month of the 2007 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left hand.
