Rodney Carney (Forward) 7/10/2006
NEWS: Carney, a first-round draft pick in 2006, signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound forward will participate in the Sixers' minicamp this week and play for the team in the Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City beginning Friday.
NOTES: Carney holds Memphis' career record for 3-pointers (287) and finished as the third-leading scorer in school history (1,301).
Bobby Jones (Forward) 7/10/2006
NEWS: Jones, a second-round draft pick in 2006, signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. The 6-foot-7, 211-pound forward will participate in the Sixers' minicamp this week and play for the team in the Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City beginning Friday.
NOTES: Jones averaged 9.8 points in 125 career games over four seasons at Washington.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 4/19/2006
NEWS: Iverson didn't play in Philadelphia's 91-88 win over New Jersey on Tuesday night, but created a bigger controversy by showing up late to the arena and making coach Maurice Cheeks look foolish. Iverson and Chris Webber showed up in the locker room just before tipoff, didn't sit on the bench and didn't talk to the media.
NOTES: Iverson is looking at a fine from the 76ers, although he wasn't expected to play on Tuesday. The Sixers were eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the week and Iverson, who is averaging 33.0 points in a league-high 43.1 minutes per game, has an ankle injury.
Chris Webber (Power Forward) 4/19/2006
NEWS: Webber didn't play in Philadelphia's 91-88 win over New Jersey on Tuesday night, but he and Allen Iverson created a bigger controversy by showing up late to the arena and making coach Maurice Cheeks look foolish. Webber and Iverson showed up in the locker room just before tipoff, didn't sit on the bench and didn't talk to the media.
NOTES: Webber has a sore back and was going to sit out the game anyway. Both players are looking at possible fines from the 76ers, who were eliminated from playoff contention earlier in the week. Webber is averaging 20.2 points and 9.9 rebounds in his first full season with Philadelphia.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 4/13/2006
NEWS: Iverson scored 40 points and had 10 assists in the 76ers' 116-96 win over the Nets on Wednesday night.
NOTES: Iverson scored 40 or more points for the 15th time this season, and has reached 40 points and 10 assists five times this year. The 10-year veteran is averaging a career-high 33.0 points and 7.5 assists in 70 games this season.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 4/11/2006
NEWS: Iverson scored 26 points and matched a season high with 15 assists as Philadelphia stayed alive in the playoff race with a 105-97 win over Washington on Monday night. The 16 assists were one short of his career high.
NOTES: Iverson is averaging 32.9 points, 7.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds and an NBA-best 43.1 minutes in 69 games this season.
Chris Webber (Power Forward) 4/10/2006
NEWS: Webber was sidelined for a second straight game Monday with a lower back strain. The power forward also missed Philadelphia's 89-75 win over Chicago on Saturday. Webber is averaging 20.3 points and 9.9 rebounds in 72 games this season.
NOTES: Steven Hunter started in Webber's place for the second game in a row. Hunter had nine points and nine rebounds in Saturday's win.
Chris Webber (Power Forward) 4/9/2006
NEWS: Webber sat out Philadelphia's 89-75 win over Chicago on Saturday night with a lower back strain. He was expected to be in the lineup but was a late scratch. The power forward is averaging 20.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.
NOTES: Steven Hunter started in Webber's place. The injury shouldn't be considered serious and expect Webber to be back in the lineup for Philadelphia's next game on Monday against Washington.
Chris Webber (Power Forward) 4/2/2006
NEWS: Webber had a season-high 34 points, 12 rebounds and three assists in 44 minutes in Friday's win over the New York Knicks. His previous season high was 32 points achieved on three different occasions.
NOTES: Webber is averaging 20.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists this season for the 76ers.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 3/25/2006
NEWS: Iverson shot 4-for-19 from the field and had 17 points and 10 assists in the 76ers' loss to the Magic on Friday. Iverson returned Wednesday from a four-game absence because of a sprained right foot and ankle. If Iverson is not healthy, the 76ers' chances of holding onto the Eastern Conference's eighth playoff spot diminishes.
NOTES:
Jamal Mashburn (Small Forward) 3/24/2006
NEWS: Mashburn retired Friday after the 76ers waived him. He last played on March 7, 2004.
NOTES: Mashburn averaged 19.1 points over an 11-season career with Dallas, Miami, Charlotte and New Orleans.

NOTES: Iverson had missed the previous four games because of a sprained right foot and ankle.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 3/21/2006
NEWS: Iverson (foot injury) is questionable for Wednesday's home game against the Atlanta Hawks. The Philadelphia 76ers' guard has been sidelined since spraining his right ankle and bruising his right foot on the final play of the first half of a March 12 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
NOTES: Iverson is averaging 33.2 points, 7.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds this season. The Sixers have lost all four games he's missed since sustaining the foot injury.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 3/20/2006
NEWS: Nothing new to report on Iverson's return from a sprained ankle. He remains questionable for Wednesday's game.
NOTES:
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 3/18/2006
NEWS: 76ers coach Mo Cheeks said Iverson will not play on Sunday when Philadelphia visits Golden State. Iverson could return when the 76ers host Atlanta on Wednesday.
NOTES: Iverson suffered a right ankle sprain last Sunday while attempting a baseline jumper against Boston.
Kevin Ollie (Point Guard) 3/15/2006
NEWS: Ollie continues to recover from a right ankle sprain and said Wednesday that he missed Tuesday's Philadelphia 76ers game because of lingering effects from Monday's workout. "I think I went on it too hard, and it swelled back up and the pain came back," the Sixers point guard said. He planned to fly with the team to Seattle in hopes of playing Thursday's game.
NOTES: Ollie's been out with the ankle injury since March 9, joining fellow point guard Allen Iverson (foot injury) among the team's banged-up backcourt players. Ollie's averaging 2.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists this season.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 3/14/2006
NEWS: The right ankle that Iverson sprained Sunday will cause him to miss Tuesday's home game against Toronto, and likely more. Iverson could miss as many as the ensuing three road games.
NOTES: Iverson, the NBA's second-leading scorer, has averaged 33.2 points in 58 games for the 76ers this season.

NEWS: Iverson sprained his right ankle in the first half of Sunday's 94-91 loss to the Grizzlies. The 76ers' point guard left the locker room in a walking boot and his X-rays were negative. Iverson said he sustained the injury after he took a shot and landed on some people sitting along the baseline. He had 18 points and six assists before leaving.
NOTES: This isn't good for the 76ers who rely on Iverson's scoring presence and are scrapping for position in the Eastern Conference. Iverson's 33.2 scoring average is second highest in the NBA.
Allen Iverson (Point Guard) 3/5/2006
NEWS: Iverson scored 47 points and added 12 assists in a 119-113 victory over the Wizards on Friday. The 76ers' point guard has tallied 87 points and 22 assists in the last two games, which is the first time he's reached 40 points and 10 assists in consecutive games.
NOTES: In 54 games this season, Iverson is averaging 33.4 points, 7.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
Samuel Dalembert (Center) 2/24/2006
NEWS: Dalembert suffered a sprained left ankle in the 76ers' 116-107 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. He did not travel with the team for Friday's contest with the Milwaukee Bucks, but may play in Saturday's game against the Chicago Bulls.
NOTES: Dalembert is scoring 9.0 points per game with 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 40 games for the 76ers this season.
