Will Blalock (Guard) 7/24/2006
NEWS: Blalock signed a multi-year contract with the Detroit Pistons on Monday. The second-round draft pick averaged 15.4 points and 6.1 assists in 30 games for Iowa State last season. "We are pleased," said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations. "Will had a good showing at the Vegas summer league and we are excited about his potential and ability to give us depth at the point guard position."
NOTES: Blalock averaged 5.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 21.8 minutes in five games at the Las Vegas summer league camp.
Nazr Mohammed (Center) 7/18/2006
NEWS: Mohammed signed a five-year contract with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday that will pay him $5.2 million next season. The final year of the deal is an option. "His defensive presence and rebounding will help solidify our frontline, while his experience and professionalism will provide addded value in our locker room," said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operation
NOTES: Mohammed averaged 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 17.4 minutes with San Antontio last season, starting 30 of 80 games. The 28-year-old center will replace Ben Wallace in the Pistons' lineup after Wallace signed a deal with Chicago. A first round pick by Utah in 1998, Mohammed has played for Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York and San Antonio in his eight-year career.
Flip Murray (Shooting Guard) 7/18/2006
NEWS: Murray signed a two-year, $3.5 million contract with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. The 26-year-old shooting guard averaged 11.2 points, 2.6 assists and 2.0 rebounds for Seattle and Cleveland last season. "He has shown the ability to score and we feel like he will add a key dimension to the current group of guards that we have on the roster," said Joe Dumars, the Pistons' president of basketball operations.
NOTES: Murray has averaged 10.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists during his four NBA seasons. He will bring added depth to a team depleted by the loss of All-Star center Ben Wallace, who signed with Chicago.
Lindsey Hunter (Point Guard) 7/18/2006
NEWS: Hunter signed a two-year, $4.5 million deal to remain with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday. The 35-year-old point guard averaged 2.9 points, 2.1 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 30 games last season.
NOTES: Hunter is averaging 9.2 points, 2.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds during 13 NBA seasons.
Ronald Dupree (Small Forward) 7/17/2006
NEWS: Dupree signed a two-year, $1.5 million deal with the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, adding depth to one of his former teams. Detroit traded Dupree to the Minnesota Timberwolves just before the 2005 season for a second-round pick to clear a roster spot for rookie guard Alex Acker.
NOTES: Dupree averaged 2.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 7.4 minutes in 36 games for the Timberwolves last season. He averaged 3.2 points in 47 games two years ago for the Pistons after signing a two-year contract with the team.

NEWS: The Pistons reached an agreement with Mohammed on Tuesday for a five-year contract that will pay him about $5 million next season. Mohammed will replace Ben Wallace in the Pistons lineup after Wallace signed a deal with Chicago late Monday night.
NOTES: Mohammed spent the last two seasons with San Antonio, winning a title in 2005, He averaged 6.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 80 games this season, but was a non-factor in the playoffs. A first round pick by Utah in 1998, Mohammed has played for Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York and San Antonio in his eight-year career.

Flip Murray (Shooting Guard) 5/15/2006
NEWS: Murray was expected to be in the Cleveland Cavaliers' lineup for Game 4 against the Detroit Pistons in place of starting guard Larry Hughes, who was scheduled to miss the game to attend his brother's funeral.
NOTES: Murray filled in for Hughes in Saturday's 86-77 Game 3 win over the Pistons. He finished that game with 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Flip Murray (Shooting Guard) 5/13/2006
NEWS: Murray is expected to make the first playoff start of his career in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Saturday. The Cleveland guard will play in place of Larry Hughes against the Detroit Pistons. Hughes left the team to be with his family after the death of his younger brother.
NOTES: Murray is averaging 8.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in eight playoff games for the Cavaliers this season.
Richard Hamilton (Shooting Guard) 5/4/2006
NEWS: Hamilton scored a career-playoff high 40 points in Detroit's 122-93 Game 5 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday as the Pistons advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
NOTES: Hamilton has played in 70 career postseason games, and his previous career high was 33 points, which he had scored twice. The seven-year veteran was averaging just 16.8 points in his first four games of this series, and is now averaging 21.4 points.
Richard Hamilton (Shooting Guard) 5/2/2006
NEWS: Hamilton was fined $15,000 by the NBA on Monday for a flagrant foul he committed Saturday against Milwaukee's Michael Redd in Game 3 of Detroit's first-round series. The Pistons lost in Milwaukee Saturday, but Detroit still leads 3-2 in the series.

Rasheed Wallace (Power Forward) 4/24/2006
NEWS: Wallace scored 17 of his 22 points in the first half of the Pistons' 92-74 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in the opener of the Eastern Conference first-round series. "I was just taking what they were giving me -- open shots," said Wallace, who went 9-for-14 from the field, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range. "I just wanted to take advantage of it."
NOTES: Wallace, whose next playoff game will mark the 100th of his career, is averaging 15.4 points and 6.7 rebounds all time in the postseason, which is similar to the 15.7 and 6.9 averages he's garnered during the regular season.
Richard Hamilton (Shooting Guard) 4/8/2006
NEWS: Due to a death in his family, Hamilton missed the Pistons' game against the Orlando Magic on Friday to fly home to Tulsa, Okla., to attend the services. Detroit's leading scorer is averaging 20.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 75 games this season.

NEWS: Wallace returned from his one-game suspension to score 20 points in the Pistons' 95-82 win over the Heat on Thursday.
NOTES: Wallace missed Tuesday's game against the Hornets for receiving his 16th technical foul of the season -- an automatic one-game suspension. The Pistons' power forward will get an additional one-game suspension after every two technicals he gets for the remainder of the season. He is averaging 15.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 74 games this season.
Rasheed Wallace (Power Forward) 4/3/2006
NEWS: Wallace will miss Tuesday's game against the Hornets after being given an automatic one-game suspension Monday for receiving his 16th technical foul of the season. The Pistons' power forward will get an additional one-game suspension after every two technicals he gets for the remainder of the season.
NOTES: Wallace is averaging 15.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 73 games this season.
Antonio McDyess (Power Forward) 3/27/2006
NEWS: McDyess grabbed 18 rebounds in the Pistons' 79-74 loss to the Nets on Sunday.
NOTES: McDyess has had double-digit rebounding games only five times this season and hasn't pulled down 18 boards since Feb. 26, 2001 when he had 21 rebounds.
Richard Hamilton (Shooting Guard) 3/19/2006
NEWS: Hamilton was fined $5,000 by the NBA on Sunday for throwing a ball into the stands during Friday's 105-103 loss to the New York Knicks. The Pistons' guard was ejected in the third quarter after reacting to an offensive foul.
NOTES: Hamilton is averaging 21.0 points, 3.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds this season. He finished Friday's game with 10 points and two rebounds in 19 minutes of play.
Tony Delk (Point Guard) 3/1/2006
NEWS: Delk was signed by the Detroit Pistons Wednesday in an effort to replace Carlos Arroyo, recently traded to the Orlando Magic. The free-agent guard was waived by the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 24 after playing in one game this season.
NOTES: Delk, in his 10th NBA season, played in 56 games for Atlanta last year, averaging 11.9 points and 1.9 assists.
Flip Murray (Shooting Guard) 2/23/2006
NEWS: Murray was acquired by the Cleveland Cavaliers just before the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, in exchange for Mike Wilks to the Seattle SuperSonics.
NOTES: Murray has averaged 9.9 points with 2.5 assists in 48 games for the SuperSonics this season.
Kelvin Cato (Center) 2/16/2006
NEWS: Orlando traded Cato and a first-round pick to Detroit on Wednesday in exchange for Darko Milicic and Carlos Arroyo. Cato, who has been hampered by injuries throughout his career, hasn't played since Jan. 18, when he sprained an ankle. He is averaging 3.8 points and 2.7 rebounds this season.
NOTES: If Cato recovers from his injury, expect his presence on the court to be very rare, especially since he backs up fellow center Ben Wallace.
