Golden State Warriors 2006 News & Notes
Jason Richardson (Shooting Guard) 8/23/2006
NEWS: Richardson had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee late Tuesday, a minor procedure that isn't expected to keep him out of Golden State Warriors training camp this fall. The Golden State guard has increased his scoring average each of the past four seasons since being taken in the 2001 NBA draft, averaging 23.2 points last year.
NOTES: Richardson, a two-time NBA slam dunk contest winner, played through pain in both knees for most of last season, missing three games in April with discomfort in his right knee. Warriors vice president Chris Mullin believes Richardson will be healthy enough for training camp, opening Oct. 3.

NEWS: O'Bryant, the ninth overall selection in last month's draft, signed with the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Although the details of the contract weren't released, the 7-foot center will make approximately $3.5 million in the first two years of his deal, according to the NBA's rookie pay scale.
NOTES: O'Bryant averaged 13.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks last season with Bradley before skipping his last two seasons to turn pro.
