Ben Wallace
Wallace is leaving Detroit to sign with Chicago, the NBA's defensive player of the year decided on Monday. Wallace will sign a four-year contract worth $60 million when free agents can sign on July 12. The Pistons had offered him a deal worth $50 million over four years, which would have made him the team's second-highest paid player. Instead, Wallace chose to bring his energy and defensive prowess to the Bulls.

Analysis: Last season, the center ranked fourth in the league in rebounding (11.3), ninth in blocks (2.2) and 10th in steals (1.78), the only player in the top 10 in all three categories. The 31-year-old Wallace averaged only 7.3 points last season and shot just 41.6 percent from the free throw line. But what he lacks in offense, he makes up for in defense, as he became the first player to win the NBA's defensive player of the year award four times in a five-year span.
