Jonathan Bender
The Indiana Pacers waived Bender Wednesday. Bender announced his retirement in February due to a medical condition in his knees. He'd played just a total of nine games over the last two seasons.

Analysis: Bender was the fifth overall NBA Draft pick in 1999 and was dealt to Indiana from the Toronto Raptors on Aug. 8, 1999. He averaged 5.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in seven seasons with the Pacers. His best season was 2001-02 when he played 78 games, averaging 7.4 points and 3.1 rebounds.
