Marcus Fizer
The Hornets signed Fizer to a 10-day contract on Friday, giving New Orleans another player for its injury-ravaged frontcourt. The 6-foot-8 forward was honored as MVP of the NBA's developmental league after averaging 22.7 points and 7.8 rebounds. Fizer signed a 10-day contract with Seattle earlier this season, but did not appear in any games.

Analysis: To make room for Fizer, the fourth overall pick in the 2000 draft, New Orleans waived Jackson Vroman. Fizer has appeared in 232 games with Chicago and Milwaukee.
