LaMarcus Aldridge
Aldridge underwent successful shoulder surgery Wednesday and is reportedly expected to return to the court in mid-to-late November. The Portland Trail Blazers rookie forward had surgery to repair a small ligament tear in his right shoulder.

Analysis: Aldridge, 21, left the University of Texas after his sophomore season and was taken with the second pick in the 2006 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. The Blazers acquired him on draft night from Chicago in exchange for forward Viktor Khryapa and Tyrus Thomas, who was selected fourth in the draft.
