HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (AP) - All charges were dropped Friday against one of three people accused in a sexual offense case involving three North Carolina football players, The News & Observer in Raleigh reported.
Judge Alonzo Coleman dismissed kidnapping, robbery and sexual offense charges against Tnikia Washington during a probable cause hearing, according to the newspaper.
The case stems from a reported robbery Dec. 12 at the apartment shared by two of the players. The men told police they were fondled against their will, and two players testified a man put a knife to their necks, the newspaper reported.
The two other suspects still face charges.
Monique Taylor, 28, of Greenville faces charges including kidnapping, first-degree sex offense and conspiracy. The charges against 32-year-old Michael Lewis of Durham include robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping.
