NEW YORK (AP) - Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow added another honor to his collection, winning the 78th James E. Sullivan Memorial Award on Tuesday.

The Florida quarterback, the first sophomore to win the Heisman, had 3,286 yards passing and 32 touchdowns last season. He also ran for 22 touchdowns, becoming the only player in NCAA history to have at least 20 TDs passing and 20 rushing.

The Sullivan Memorial Award is given annually to athletes who possess qualities of leadership, character, sportsmanship and ideals. It is named for the founder of the Amateur Athletic Union, James Sullivan.

Other finalists for this year's honor were Oklahoma gymnast Jonathan Horton, Michigan State hockey goalie Jeff Lerg, Virginia Tech softball pitcher Angela Tincher, and 61-year-old track and field athlete Philippa Raschker of Marietta, Ga.
