BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -Justin Haddix threw two touchdowns and ran in a third as Western Kentucky beat Chattanooga 28-21 on Saturday in the Hilltoppers' home opener.

Curtis Hamilton caught TD passes from quarterback Justin Haddix in the third and fourth quarter. His fourth quarter catch with 10:32 left gave the Hilltoppers (1-2) a 28-14 lead. Haddix finished 12-of-22 for 181 yards and an interception. Tyrell Hayden led the Hilltoppers with 88 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Antonio Miller had scoring runs of 6, 5 and 1 yards for Chattanooga (1-2), which finished with 391 yards of total offense.

Haddix put the Hilltoppers up 14-7 with a 1-yard touchdown run with 5:12 left in the third quarter, and Western's defense forced a punt on the next series, leading to Haddix's second TD pass to Hamilton.
