YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) -Kalvin McRae powered an Ohio ground attack that rolled up 278 yards, leading the Bobcats to a 16-10 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

McRae scored the game-winning touchdown with 5:46 remaining in the third quarter and totaled 141 yards on 23 carries, running for 100 yards for the fifth straight game.

It was the fifth straight win for Ohio (7-3, 5-1 Mid-American), which remains atop the MAC's East Division.

McRae's 11-yard touchdown run was set up when Michael Mitchell intercepted a pass from Tyler Jones and returned it 30 yards. That required Ohio to cover only 22 yards on a short four-play drive to score.

Eastern Michigan (1-8, 1-4) led 10-9 at halftime after Jones' 1-yard touchdown run with 7:49 remaining in the second quarter finished off an 11-play, 83-yard drive. But the Eagles, who have now lost four games by seven points or less, were unable to score in the final two quarters.

Ohio broke a 3-3 tie earlier in the second quarter when Scott Mayle sprinted 41 yards on a second-quarter reverse, providing the Bobcats with their only touchdown of the first half. The Bobcats threatened late in the half, driving to the Eastern Michigan 28-yard line, but they stalled after a holding penalty and a sack ended the quarter.
