LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) -Kalvin McRae ran for three second-half touchdowns as Ohio overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Lafayette 31-23 Saturday night.

Those runs of 5, 23 and 13 yards added up to nearly half of his 84 yards on 20 carries for Ohio (2-0). He also caught three passes for 52 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown throw from Brad Bower in the first quarter.

Bower finished 17-of-28 for 264 yards.

Down 20-10 at halftime, the Bobcats gained possession in Cajuns territory and moved 43 yards in nine plays for McRae's first rushing touchdown of the game. Ohio converted all three third-down attempts on the drive, including a third-and-10.

ULL (0-2) answered with a 52-yard drive ending with Drew Edmiston's 28-yard field goal.

Just 38 seconds later, McRae scored his third touchdown, putting Ohio ahead 24-23 with 14:34 left.

After his fourth, the Cajuns took possession at their 21-yard line with 4:12 left. They converted three third downs in a 77-yard march, but fumbled at the Ohio 2-yard line. Landon Cohen grabbed it, ending the Cajuns' chances.

ULL was led by Michael Desormeaux, who was 16-of-25 passing for 234 yards and two touchdowns, and Tyrrell Fenroy, who had 136 yards on 24 carries.
