MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -Justin Anderson ran for 167 yards and a touchdown to help Northern Illinois beat Idaho 42-35 Saturday.

Idaho's Eric Greenwood recovered an onside kick with 59 seconds left, and the Vandals reached the NIU 17, but Larry English sacked Nathan Enderle to end the game.

Dan Nicholson went 10-for-17 and a pair of touchdown passes for Northern Illinois (1-3).

Deonte Jackson rushed for 111 yards and scored two touchdowns for Idaho (1-3).

English sacked Enderle with four minutes left in the first half, knocking the ball into the end zone. English fell on it for a 35-7 lead.

Idaho's Shiloh Keo returned a punt 100 yards with 34 seconds left in the half to make it 35-14, and Idaho came back in the second half, helped by two scoring passes by Enderle. He found tight end Eddie Williams for a 15-yard touchdown with 1:01 left to play, setting up the onside kick.
