KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -Tim Hiller passed for two touchdowns and Western Michigan stuffed Central Connecticut State's potent rushing attack in a 51-14 victory Saturday night.

Seven different players scored for the Broncos (1-3), who rolled up their biggest point total since scoring 57 in a four-overtime loss to Ball State in 2005.

Western Michigan led 31-7 at halftime and amassed 389 yards of total offense. The defense held the Blue Devils to two short TD runs after giving up 151 points in the Broncos' first three games.

Central Connecticut (2-2), a Football Championship Subdivision team playing a Division I-A opponent for the first time, lost the ball on five turnovers. One of them, an interception, was returned 32 yards for a touchdown by Boston McCornell in the first quarter.

The Blue Devils went into the game ranked No. 2 in the FCS (formerly Division I-AA) with more than 300 yards per game, managed just 196 on Saturday. Ralph McKenley led Central Connecticut with 57 yards on 16 carries.
