MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -Dwight Dasher passed for 240 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for two touchdowns to lead Middle Tennessee to a 47-6 victory over Florida International Saturday.

Dasher, making his second career start, led the Blue Raiders (1-4, 1-1) to 47 points, all before half time.

Dasher completed 10-of-17 passes in the game for 240 yards, throwing touchdown passes of 14 yards to Bobby Williams and a 27-yard strike to Desmond Gee in the first quarter, and a 71-yard touchdown to DeMarco McNair in the second quarter.

Dasher also added touchdown runs of 22 and 1 in the first half while rushing for 58 yards.

The Blue Raiders rolled up 405 yards on offense while holding the Florida International (0-5, 0-1) to just 145.

Florida International picked up just two first downs while turning the ball over three times in the first half.

Phillip Tanner rushed for a game-high 59 yards for MTSU, which also added a safety when FIU punter Chris Cook mishandled a snap and fumbled it through the end zone.

Florida International scored its sole touchdown in the fourth quarter after MTSU punter Robert Billings mishandled the snap in the end zone. Chance Attaway recovered the fumble for the touchdown with 12:39 remaining in the game.
