MONROE, La. (AP) -Kinsmon Lancaster passed for 195 yards and two touchdowns and Calvin Dawson had his 10th straight 100-yard rushing game as Louisiana-Monroe beat Arkansas State 30-13 for its first win of the season Saturday night.
Arkansas State (2-3, 0-1) jumped out to a 13-0 lead on a pair of field goals by Josh Arauco and a 21-yard pass from Corey Leonard to Chris Miller. But the Warhawks (1-4, 1-1 Sun Belt) led 17-13 by halftime.
Lancaster completed 15-of-22; his 213 completions put him ahead of Bubby Brister, who went on to 14 seasons in the NFL.
Dawson had 114 yards on 26 carries, despite missing all but three plays of the first quarter.
Leonard finished 14-of-35 for 206 yards and a pair of interceptions, both by ULM safety Greg James, who now has nine, five games into his sophomore season.
