MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -Taron Henry caught two touchdown passes to lead Middle Tennessee to a 24-7 victory over Arkansas State on Saturday.

The Blue Raiders' defense also landed a touchdown as Rod Isaac returned a fumble 42 yards on Arkansas State's opening possession of the game.

Middle Tennessee's defense set a school record with nine quarterback sacks. The defense allowed a season-low 138 yards against Arkansas State (3-4, 1-2) and forced four turnovers. Arkansas State rushed for just 22 yards on 33 carries.

Middle Tennessee (3-5, 2-1) rolled to 384 yards on offense with Dwight Dasher and Joe Craddock each throwing a touchdown pass and combining for 179 yards through the air.

After a 7-0 lead, Dasher led an 80-yard drive, throwing a 17-yard touchdown pass to Henry. The team added a 38-yard field goal to extend the lead to 17-0.

Arkansas State answered with its only sustained drive of the day and Corey Leonard threw a 6-yard touchdown to Danny McNeal. Craddock, who played in his first game after suffering a back injury, spelled Dasher, who was injured, and threw a 52-yard scoring pass to Henry with 9:06 remaining.
