MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -A 70-yard touchdown pass from Zac Champion to Phillip Livas put Louisiana Tech ahead for good as the Bulldogs beat Idaho on Saturday 28-16.

Patrick Jackson rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown, while fellow running back Daniel Porter rushed for 59 yards and a score for LTU (4-5, 3-3 Western Athletic Conference).

Deonte Jackson ran for 42 yards to become Idaho's (1-9, 0-6) first 1,000-yard rusher since 2003, but it wasn't enough to stop UI's losing streak, which reached eight games. Jackson now has 1,016 yards on the season.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead when Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle threw to the side and was intercepted by Ben McGilton, who only had to return it 2 yards to score.

It was the sixth time this season an opponent returned an interception for a touchdown against the Vandals.

Louisiana Tech took a 14-3 lead with 8:45 left in the first half on Porter's 19-yard score.

Idaho responded two minutes later when Jonathan Faraimo knocked the ball out of Champion's hands and into the end zone. Josh Shaw recovered to pull UI within four, 14-10.

Tino Amancio followed with two field goals to gave Idaho a 16-14 lead that held up until Livas' score with 8:54 left in the game.

Jackson sealed the win on an 8-yard TD with 1:48 left.

Champion was 16-for-25 for 227 yards, with one interception and one touchdown. Louisiana Tech had 438 yards of total offense.

Enderle was 16-of-48 for 188 yards with three interceptions, as the Vandals were held to 285 yards of offense.
