NEW ORLEANS (AP) -Matt Forte rushed for a pair of touchdowns and Jeremy Williams caught two more to lead Tulane to a 34-19 victory over Texas-El Paso Saturday night.
Forte, who rushed for 171 yards, became Tulane's career touchdown leader with 39.
UTEP's Trevor Vittatoe completed 28 of 43 for 308 yards and a touchdown.
Anthony Scelfo completed 7 of 11 for 167 yards and a 43-yard touchdown.
Tulane (3-7) held UTEP (4-6), which had been averaging 43.4 points a game to just 24 points.
