LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) -Greg James started the scoring with a 60-yard interception return in the first quarter and Louisiana-Monroe never trailed as it beat Louisiana-Lafayette 17-11 Saturday night.

The Warhawks (6-6, 4-3 Sun Belt) became eligible for a bowl for the first time since they moved to Division I-A in 1994.

The Ragin' Cajuns (3-9, 3-4), last had a losing season in 2004.

ULL players led the game in individual statistics.

Tyrell Fenroy carried the ball 19 times for 118 yards and a touchdown, breaking 1,000 yards late in the third quarter. He and Arkansas' Darren McFadden are the only current juniors in the nation with three straight 1,000-yard seasons.

Connor Morel completed 19-of-37 passes for 240 yards, Jason Chery caught a game-high seven catches for 107 yards, and Verlin Moore added five catches for 79 yards.

Monroe's Calvin Dawson had 66 yards on 27 carries. Kinsmon Lancaster threw for 99 yards on 11-of-19 passing, adding 63 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
