Carson Palmer
Palmer completed 9-of-14 passes for 140 yards and three touchdowns for the Bengals in a 48-17 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday. It was his first game since tearing two ligaments and dislocating his knee cap during the Bengals' 31-17 playoff loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Jan. 8. He sat out the first two preseason games, feeling he wasn't ready. His knee still gets some swelling.

Analysis: Palmer has been declared the Bengals starting quarterback for the season after his performance on Monday. He had a breakout season in 2005, throwing for 3,836 yards with 32 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, completing 67.8 percent of his passes.
