DETROIT (AP) -Nashville Predators forward Scott Nichol injured his left arm Thursday night in Game 1 against the Detroit Red Wings and did not return.

Nichol played just 2 minutes and 41 seconds spanning four shifts in the first period of the playoff opener for both teams.

During the regular season, he scored 10 goals and had 18 points in 73 games.
