The New York Rangers agreed to terms with Pock Thursday though terms of the deal were not disclosed. Pock, 24, was the Rangers final restricted free agent. The defenseman signed with New York as an undrafted free agent in 2004, appearing in six games before the end of the 2003-04 season, recording two goals and two assists. |

Ortmeyer has been inflicted with the illness, a sudden blockage of an artery in the lung, caused by one or more blood clots. "They believe it can be treated," said Mark Witkin, Ortmeyer's agent. "There has been no statement that his career is in jeopardy." |
