Before spending his last three seasons with Toronto, Belfour had stints with Chicago, San Jose and Dallas. "Ed's wealth of playing experience will be an added asset for our organization," Panthers general manager Mike Keenan said.

Bertuzzi, who spent his last eight seasons with Vancouver, recorded 25 goals and 46 assists last season. Todd Bertuzzi (Right Wing) 4/26/2006
NEWS: Bertuzzi's lawyers are seeking to have the civil lawsuit filed against the Vancouver winger by Steve Moore heard in a British Columbia court instead of in Ontario. The lawsuit stems from Bertuzzi's vicious hit on Moore, then with the Colorado Avalanche, on March 8, 2004. Moore suffered three fractured neck vertebrae, a concussion and other injuries. He hasn't played in an NHL game since.
NOTES: Moore is seeking $18 million in lost wages and damages from Bertuzzi in a lawsuit filed in Ontario in February, while his parents are also claiming $1.5 million in damages for "the nervous shock and mental distress" caused by the attack.
