J.P. Dumont (Right Wing) 8/29/2006
NEWS: Dumont signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Predators on Tuesday. He was awarded a one-year, $2.9 million contract by an arbitrator on Aug. 2, but the Buffalo Sabres walked away from the deal.
NOTES: Dumont scored 20 goals with 20 assists in 54 games for the Sabres in the 2005-06 season. The right wing has 121 goals and 135 assists in seven NHL seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks (1998-2000) and Sabres (2000-06).
Alex Henry (Defense) 8/22/2006
NEWS: The Nashville Predators on Monday signed Henry to a one-year contract worth $450,000. The defenseman played the last two seasons for the Minnesota Wild and had a career-high five assists in 63 games last season.
NOTES: Henry, 26, was drafted in the third round of the 1998 NHL draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He has two goals and nine assists in 175 games with the Oilers, Wild and Washington Capitals.

NEWS: The Sabres rejected Dumont's one-year, $2.9 million salary arbitration award on Tuesday, making the forward an unrestricted free agent. The ruling was a raise of $1.3 million for Dumont, who scored 20 goals and 40 points in 54 games for the Sabres in the 2005-06 season.
NOTES: Dumont has scored 121 goals and 256 points in 434 games over his seven-year career with the Chicago Blackhawks (1998-2000) and Sabres (2000-06).

NEWS: Dumont was awarded a one-year, $2.9 million contract in salary arbitration on Wednesday, driving the the Sabres' escalating payroll even higher. Dumont then played an important role in the Sabres' extended playoff run, finishing with seven goals _ including one in overtime in the second round against Ottawa _ and seven assists in 18 game
NOTES: A seven-year NHL veteran, Dumont received a $1.3 million raise over last season, when he registered 20 goals and 20 assists. Dumont reached 20 goals for the fourth time despite missing 28 games after he had surgery to repair a sports hernia in December.
Scott Hartnell (Left Wing) 8/1/2006
NEWS: The Predators avoided salary arbitration with Hartnell on Tuesday, agreeing to terms with the forward on a one-year, $1.75 million dea. Hartnell was the Predators' first-round pick and No. 6 overall in the 2000 draft. He has 71 goals and 101 assists with 448 penalty minutes in 372 career NHL games.
NOTES: Hartnell, 24, had a career-high 25 goals last season and a team-record eight winning goals. The left winger also had career highs in points (48) and power-play goals (10). He recorded his first hat trick on Feb. 4 against Chicago.
Tomas Vokoun (Goaltender) 7/25/2006
NEWS: Vokoun was cleared by doctors to return to the team following a late-season health problem that forced him to miss the playoffs. The 30-year-old Predators goalie was diagnosed in April with pelvic thrombophlebitis, a rare blood condition that caused blood clots in his abdomen.
NOTES: Vokoun won a career-high 36 games last season, even though his condition forced him out of the final eight games of the regular season and all five postseason contests against the San Jose Sharks. He's 134-147-7 with a 2.57 goals-against average in 340 career games.
Martin Erat (Left Wing) 7/24/2006
NEWS: The Predators agreed to terms Monday with Erat on a two-year contract.
NOTES: Erat, 24, had a career-high 20 goals to go along with 29 assists in 80 games last season for Nashville, which selected him in the seventh round of the 1999 draft. He has spent his entire career with the Predators, totaling 46 goals and 139 points in 263 games.
Josef Vasicek (Center) 7/18/2006
NEWS: Vasicek was traded to the Nashville Predators from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Scott Walker on Tuesday. Vasicek had four goals and five assists in 23 games for the Stanley Cup champions last season.
NOTES: Vasicek has 55 goals and 71 assists in 316 career games spanning five seasons, all with the Hurricanes.
Jason Arnott (Center) 7/2/2006
NEWS: Arnott signed a five-year, $22.5 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Sunday. The 31-year-old center had a career-high 76 points for the Stars last season. He will receive $4.5 million in each year of the deal with the Predators.
NOTES: Entering his 13th NHL season, Arnott has played in 91 career playoff games and has been to the Stanley Cup finals twice, capturing the title as a member of the New Jersey Devils in 2000. He has 276 goals and 644 points in 824 career games.
Marek Zidlicky (Defense) 5/8/2006
NEWS: Zidlicky signed a $13.4 million, four-year contract with Nashville on Monday, keeping the defenseman with the team he joined in 2002 after a trade from the New York Rangers. Zidlicky had 49 points this season, second among Predators defensemen. He missed most of the last part of the season with a shoulder injury.

NEWS: Dumont had three goals and an assist in Buffalo's 8-2 rout over Philadelphia in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round series on Monday.
NOTES: Dumont scored 20 goals in 54 regular-season games. He had not recorded a hat trick since Nov. 12, 2001. The seven-year veteran has seven goals and four assists in 15 playoff games.
Paul Kariya (Left Wing) 4/22/2006
NEWS: Kariya assisted on all four of Nashville's goals in its 4-3 victory over San Jose on Friday in Game 1 of the first-round Western Conference series.
NOTES: Kariya also had a four-point game in the regular-season finale on Tuesday as he had an assist with his first hat trick since Oct. 31, 2002. The 11-year veteran had not recorded a four-point game since Jan. 22, 2003 prior to Tuesday, and now has consecutive four-point games for the first time in his career.
Steve Sullivan (Right Wing) 4/22/2006
NEWS: Sullivan returned to the ice for 13 minutes in Nashville's 4-3 victory over San Jose on Friday in Game 1 of the first-round Western Conference series.
NOTES: Sullivan missed the final nine games of the regular season, and was tied with Paul Kariya for the team lead of 31 goals. The 10-year veteran had five goals and 13 assists in his last 12 games before being sidelined.
Steve Sullivan (Right Wing) 4/20/2006
NEWS: Sullivan skated Wednesday for the first time since a strained groin sidelined him for the final nine games of the regular season. Nashville coach Barry Trotz said he may return to the lineup for the first-round series against San Jose.
NOTES: Sullivan, tied with Paul Kariya for the team lead with 31 goals, also has 68 points. Sullivan has scored a point in 11 of his last 12 games, scoring five goals and recording 13 assists in those games.
Paul Kariya (Left Wing) 4/19/2006
NEWS: Kariya recorded his ninth career hat trick and the Predators snapped Detroit's 20-game point streak with a 6-3 win in the last game of the regular season Tuesday night.
NOTES: Kariya finished with 31 goals and 54 assists in his first season with Nashville. The left winger led the team in assists and finished tied with Steve Sullivan for the goal-scoring lead. The 31 goals were his most since 2001-02, when he had 32 for Anaheim.
Chris Mason (Goaltender) 4/16/2006
NEWS: Mason won his fifth consecutive start and became the ninth goalie to score a goal in a regular-season game in the Predators' 5-1 win over Phoenix on Saturday night. Mason was credited with the goal when the Coyotes shot the puck into their own net on a delayed penalty call. He is the first goalie with a goal since Feb. 14, 2004, when Buffalo's Mika Noronen scored against Toronto.
NOTES: Mason is the Predators' top goalie with Tomas Vokoun finished for the season with a blood condition. Mason is 11-5-1 with a 2.52 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in 22 games this season.
Tomas Vokoun (Goaltender) 4/10/2006
NEWS: Vokoun will miss the rest of the regular season and the playoffs after being diagnosed with pelvic thrombophlebitis. An MRI scan Friday found blood clots throughout his abdomen and pelvic area. He is expected to make a full recovery.
NOTES: The 29-year-old Nashville goaltender will sorely be missed. In 61 games this season, he went 36-18-7 with a 2.67 goals-against average. In his absence, backup Chris Mason will take over as the No. 1 netminder. Mason is 8-5-1 with a 2.80 GAA in 2005-06.
Chris Mason (Goaltender) 4/7/2006
NEWS: Mason made 18 saves for his second career shutout in the Predators' 3-0 win over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday.
NOTES: Mason's performance as a backup to Tomas Vokoun has been up and down this season -- he hasn't won consecutive starts since early December -- but he did improve to 7-5-1 with a 2.93 goals-against average with the victory. The 29-year-old Nashville goaltender is 11-10-1 with one tie and a 2.68 GAA in his career.
Josef Vasicek (Center) 4/3/2006
NEWS: Vasicek returned to the ice on Monday for the first time since Nov. 11, after missing 59 games with a knee injury. The Carolina center had two goals and three assists in 15 games this season before getting injured.
NOTES: The Hurricanes have already clinched the Southeast Division title, so expect the team to ease the 6-foot-4, 210-pound forward back into the lineup with only nine games remaining in the regular season.
Darcy Hordichuk (Left Wing) 3/27/2006
NEWS: Hordichuk was suspended for three games without pay by the NHL Monday for initiating a fight with the Kings' George Parros in Nashville's 6-4 loss Saturday. The Predators' forward will miss matchups with Phoenix, Detroit and St. Louis.
NOTES: Hordichuk has seven goals and five assists in 67 games this season.
