Rod Brind'Amour
Brind'Amour agreed to terms with Carolina for a five-year, $18-million contract, the team announced on Friday. The Hurricanes' captain will receive $4 million in each of the first three years and $3 million in each of the last two. He scored 12 postseason goals and added six assists to lead Carolina to its first Stanley Cup and won the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league's best defensive forward.

Analysis: Brind'Amour finished the regular season with 31 goals and 39 assists. He led NHL forwards in ice time (24:17 per game) and faceoffs taken (2,145) and finished third in faceoff percentage (59.1).
