BOSTON (AP) - Kindyll Dorsey hit a baseline jumper with 7.8 seconds to play, lifting No. 21 Boston College to a 57-55 victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday night.

Dorsey, who finished with a team-high 18 points for the Eagles (18-6, 5-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), made her basket as the shot clock was winding down.

Brooke Queenan scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Aja Parham had 10 points for BC, which won its sixth straight game.

Chioma Nnamaka led the Yellow Jackets (13-10, 2-8) with a season-high 25 points, and Jill Ingram had 11.

Following Dorsey's basket, Georgia Tech inbounded the ball after a timeout, rushed it the length of the court and Ingram missed badly on a 3-point attempt as the horn sounded.

BC, which overcame a poor-shooting first half, went ahead 40-39 on Kathrin Ress' short jumper with 10:31 to play for its first lead since midway into the first half.

The lead then changed hands eight times over the next 8 minutes, with BC taking a 55-53 lead on Dorsey's 3-pointer from the top of the key with 2:28 left.

The Yellow Jackets missed on their next possession, but Parham missed two free throws with 1:35 to play. Ingram's driving basket tied it 55-all with 1:21 to go.

The Eagles' Laura Lokitis turned the ball over with a poor pass, but Ingram misfired on an off-balance jumper as the shot clock was winding down and BC grabbed the rebound and took a timeout with 36 seconds left.

Georgia Tech led 28-20 at halftime.
