CINCINNATI (AP) -The University of Cincinnati hired J. Kelley Hall as its women's basketball coach Wednesday. He replaces Laurie Pirtle, who retired last month after 21 years as Cincinnati's coach.
The 48-year-old Hall had an 86-62 record at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette for the past five seasons. Last season, the Ragin' Cajuns finished 25-9, winning the Sun Belt West Division title and accepting an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament.
Hall served as an associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Louisville from 2000-02 and as an assistant coach at Auburn from 1996-2000.
