TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -Shante Williams scored 19 points in a limited role after having offseason hip surgery and No. 19 Florida State scored the game's first 15 points en route to a 75-48 win over North Florida in its home opener on Sunday.

Florida State scored 29 points off 26 turnovers and outscored the undersized Ospreys 32-14 in the paint. The Seminoles shot 53 percent from the field and held North Florida (0-1) to just 30 percent shooting.

Forward Jacinta Monroe scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, and freshman Courtney Ward added 13 points for the Seminoles (2-0).

Williams, who played only 21 minutes while she is still recovering from surgery, was 7-for-8 from the field and 4-for-6 from the free throw line.

The Seminoles led the entire way, but struggled with sloppy play and poor free throw shooting. They turned the ball over 20 times and only shot 15-of-28 from the free throw line.

Tiffany Williams led the Ospreys with 14 points. She was the only North Florida player in double figures.

Florida State led by as many as 17 in the first half on its way to a 41-25 lead at halftime, and then sealed the game with a 14-4 run midway through the second half.
