MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -Tracy Roller resigned as Ball State women's basketball coach Wednesday, citing personal reasons.

Roller missed much of last season while recovering from mononucleosis and an inner-ear infection. She coached only one game after Dec. 20 because of her illness.

Roller guided the Cardinals to a 118-73 record in seven years. The winningest coach in school history, she had three 20-plus win seasons, including a 24-7 record in 2006-07. She led the program to four Mid-American Conference West Division championships.

``Tracy has been an important part of the Ball State family for the past nine years, and I am sad to see her go,'' athletic director Tom Collins said. ``She has represented Ball State with nothing but class and has inspired the best out of her student-athletes. I wish her well in her recovery and future endeavors.''

Associate head coach Lisa McDonald stepped in when Roller was out last season, and will continue to serve as acting head coach.
