EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Candice Dupree had 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead No. 21 Temple to a 51-46 victory over Oregon in the championship game of the Women's Sports Foundation Classic at McArthur Court on Saturday night.
Gabrielle Richards had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Ducks (1-1), who led 46-43 with 2:36 left in the game, before Temple closed the game with an 8-0 run.
Khadija Bowens made a jumper inside the lane with 1:41 remaining to put the Owls (2-0) up 47-46, and Jennifer Owens and Kamesha Hairston each hit a pair of free throws in the final minute to secure the win.
Oregon held a 25-22 lead at the break after Brandi Davis sparked a 7-2 run to close out the half with a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer. Richards, who had eight points and seven rebounds in the first half, added a basket inside with 23 seconds left.
Dupree had 11 points and seven rebounds in the first half. Hairston also had 14 points for the Owls.
