PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Khadija Bowens scored 21 points and Candice Dupree added 17 to lead No. 21 Temple to a 72-53 victory over Penn on Tuesday night.
Kamesha Hairston added 14 points for Temple (4-0), which won its 28th straight regular-season game.
Jennifer Fleischer led Penn (1-1) with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Monica Naltner and Joey Rhoads had 10 points each.
Temple led 50-42 with 7:50 remaining and used a 16-3 run to increase its lead to 66-45 with 3:09 left.
The Owls outrebounded Penn 39-27, and the Quakers shot 36 percent from the field.
