HONOLULU (AP) - Allie Quigley scored 17 of her 21 points in the second half to lead No. 17 DePaul to a 64-49 win over Eastern Michigan in the opening round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic on Friday night.
Khara Smith, who had 12 points and 11 rebounds, teamed with Quigley to account for 25 of the Blue Devils' 40 second-half points.
Canea Williams had 19 points and teammate Sarah VanMetre added 14 for Eastern Michigan (2-1). Nikki Knapp had 11 rebounds.
The Blue Devils (3-0) held a 47-42 lead with 4:30, and then Quigley hit two straight 3-pointers to extend DePaul's lead to 53-44.
The Blue Devils added several free throws and lay-ups in the closing minutes to put the game out of reach.
DePaul led 24-19 at the break, and Quigley opened the second half by scoring the first seven points.
DePaul advanced to play Texas A&M in Saturday's semifinals. The Eagles will face Cal State-Northridge, which lost to Texas A&M 76-52.
