HAMPTON, Va. (AP) - Candice Dupree scored 20 points and had four blocked shots to help No. 21 Temple beat Hampton 81-38 on Sunday night.
Kamesha Hairston added 16 points for Temple (5-0).
Monica Rogers led Hampton (0-4) with nine points, and Chinyere Ukoh had eight. Both had nine rebounds.
Temple's defense dominated Hampton, forcing 24 turnovers and blocking 12 shots. The Owls held the Pirates to 13 points in the second half after taking a 43-25 lead at halftime.
Temple shot 50.7 percent, holding Hampton to 26 percent (13-for-51) shooting on the game. The Pirates were outrebounded 46-33.
