FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Kristin Peoples scored a career-high 23 points to lead Arkansas to an 88-69 win over Grambling State on Tuesday.

Peoples was one of three Lady Razorbacks (3-2) to score in double digits. Ayana Brereton also scored a career high with 18 points, and Dominique Washington added 11.

Juleen Smith led Grambling (2-1) with 23 points and made 12-of-13 free throws.

The Lady Razorbacks were up 40-28 at the half and kept a secure margin for the rest of the game, widening the gap by as much as 24 points.

Grambling cut into Arkansas' lead, but then Brereton scored nearly half her total with less then four minutes left in the game. Brereton was near-perfect with 6-of-9 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line.

Arkansas forced 26 Grambling turnovers, leading to 25 points for the Lady Razorbacks, while Grambling made nine points on Arkansas' 14 turnovers.
