CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Freshman reserve Heather Claytor scored 14 points and No. 7 North Carolina easily won its sixth straight, 92-38 over Charleston Southern on Thursday night.
The Tar Heels (6-0) led 50-16 at halftime and utilized their bench players for much of the game. North Carolina's reserves outscored their Charleston Southern counterparts 60-8.
Camille Little had 13 points for the Tar Heels and played the most of any North Carolina starters - 18 minutes.
Keena Wicker scored 12 points to lead Charleston Southern (1-5), which lost its fourth in a row.
For North Carolina, the win marked the first of three games in four days. The Tar Heels host South Florida on Friday and then play No. 8 Connecticut in Hartford on Monday.
Claytor had three 3-pointers and three free throws for 12 points in the first half. She paced the Tar Heels to a 50-16 lead at the break.
The Tar Heels led by 48 in both halves and scored the game's last seven points. North Carolina hit 17 of its first 31 shots (54.8 percent), including five 3-pointers, in a first half that featured spurts of 14, 12 and 12 consecutive points.
