WACO, Texas (AP) - Baylor coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson was worried about a short bench and a long layoff.

Neither was a problem Thursday night.

Sophia Young scored 20 points and Chameka Scott finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 4 Baylor to an 82-42 victory over Sam Houston State.

The Lady Bears (10-0), who extended their winning streak to 30 games, dressed just eight players for their first game in nearly two weeks. Sophomore guard Angela Tisdale served the final game of a three-game suspension, and freshman forward Jessica Morrow was out with an illness.

``With only eight players, everybody gets double-figure minutes,'' Mulkey-Robertson said. ``You worry a little bit about being rusty and out of sync, but I thought we came out both halves and did just fine.''

Baylor took a 28-5 lead in the first 8 minutes, then opened the second half with a 15-0 run for a 58-22 lead with just over 12 minutes remaining. Young scored nine points in the second-half run.

``We were excited from the start,'' Young said. ``This is our last go-around so we're just going to have fun and play aggressive every night and see what the outcome is.''

Britney Harris and Ratysha Alexander each scored seven points for Sam Houston State (5-5), which was outscored 48-12 in the paint and outrebounded 52-21.

``You've got to play good teams to get better,'' Sam Houston State coach Wooly Hatchell said. ``I can play three great teams (Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M) in three great places without leaving the state. Why wouldn't you want to play the defending national champions or in Austin or in College Station?''

Scott scored 13 in the first half, which ended with Baylor leading 43-22.
