SAN DIEGO (AP) - Duke didn't take it easy on a lesser opponent.

Abby Waner scored 19 points and No. 2 Duke tied a school record with 13 3-pointers and had a season high for points in a 119-52 victory over San Diego on Friday night in the championship game of the SurfN Slam Classic.

Monique Currie had 14 points and five assists for the Blue Devils (11-0) and was named the tournament's most valuable player. Duke had eight players score in double figures and shot 64.3 percent (45-for-70). The Blue Devils' previous high this season was 110 points in an 86-point victory over Ball State.

``We want to play at the same level regardless of the score, said Duke coach Gail Goestenkors. ``We want to be at an elite level and maintain our focus and our energy and I thought we did a pretty good job of that.''

Duke was 13-for-23 from 3-point range in the opening-round win over St. John's on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils were a little better on Friday, going 13-for-22 from beyond the arc. Waner had three 3s and was one of seven Blue Devils to connect from long range.

``I think we were moving the ball really well against the zone,'' Waner said. ``If we get the ball to the inside and then kick it out it really opens up the outside and we had some great looks tonight.''

Kelly Winther had 10 points for San Diego (4-8), which was 18-for-54 from the field and was outrebounded 45-22.

St. John's (10-2) beat Montana State (0-11) 87-71 in the third-place game.
