IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Liz Podominick had 13 points to lead No. 16 Minnesota to an 80-68 win over Iowa on Sunday.

Jamie Broback and Natasha Williams added 12 points each for the Gophers (13-4, 6-1 Big Ten).

Freshman Megan Skouby led the Hawkeyes (12-7, 5-3) with 20 points, while Krista VandeVenter added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Crystal Smith, the Big Ten's leading scorer, finished with a season-low 11 points on 2-for-14 shooting.

Minnesota trailed at halftime for the first time this season, 37-32, but won by double-digits for the third straight game. The Gophers used a 22-6 run to start the second half, sparked by three baskets from Podominick.

Minnesota forced the Hawkeyes into five missed shots and three turnovers in their first eight possessions of the second half. The Gophers' reserves outscored Iowa's 30-15.
