BOSTON (AP) - Brooke Queenan scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead No. 23 Boston College to a 77-63 win over Wake Forest on Thursday night.

Aja Parham added 15 points, Kathrin Ress 13 and Kindyll Dorsey 11 for BC (16-6, 3-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), which won its third straight ACC game after opening its inaugural season in the league with four losses.

Corinne Groves had 16 points, Elizabeth Strunk 15 and Cotelia Bond-Young 14 for the Demon Deacons (10-10, 2-6). It was Wake Forest's fourth consecutive loss.

BC, which never trailed, took a 13-2 lead 5:16 into the game. Dorsey got the Eagles started by hitting a 3-pointer from the right wing 13 seconds into the contest. Queenan had six points in the run.

The Eagles' man-to-man defense continually frustrated the Demon Deacons, who had trouble getting the ball inside and were forced to take a number of long jumpers with the shot clock winding down. BC, though, used good ball movement to get a number of open jumpers and shots inside the lane.

After the initial spurt, Wake Forest climbed back into it, trailing 24-18 on Strunk's 3-pointer with 5:14 to play in the half. But BC closed the first half with an 11-2 spree, and Queenan again was a key to the run by scoring a basket inside and making a 3-pointer to make it 31-20 with 2:24 left.

Boston College led 35-22 at halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles opened a 52-32 lead with 13:23 to play when Laura Lokitis and Queenan hit 3-pointers 31 seconds apart.

Wake Forest never threatened the rest of the way.
