EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) - Victoria Lucas-Perry scored 23 points and Liz Shimek added 20 to lift No. 17 Michigan State over Northwestern 79-59 Thursday night.
The Spartans (16-7, 6-4 Big Ten) grabbed the lead early and never relinquished it. They went ahead by 25 points midway through the second half.
Sara Stutz had 20 points, Ifeoma Okonkwo added 14, Erin Dickerson 11 and Melissa Miller 10 for the Wildcats (5-16, 1-9).
The Spartans, who led 38-26 at halftime, made 52.3 percent of their shots from the field. Northwestern shot 45.8 percent.
