Memphis hit just 29 percent from the floor while the Lady Eagles sunk 49 percent of their shots.
Kendra Reed scored 18 points for Southern Miss (11-13, 8-5 Conference USA), Liz Biland put 13 on the board and Kristin Chaney scored 10.
