RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -Cori Chambers single-handedly outscored Richmond in the first half to lead No. 11 Georgia to a 72-41 win Thursday night.

Chambers scored 17 of her 20 points before halftime, when Georgia led 35-12. She also scored 11 of the Lady Bulldogs' first 15 points.

Georgia (11-1) started sluggishly, leading 6-4 with 12 minutes left in the half, before going on a 29-8 run into the break. It was the second part of a two-day, two-game swing through Virginia for the Lady Bulldogs, who beat George Mason Wednesday 76-51 in Fairfax.

Georgia started the second half with a 12-2 run and extended their lead to as many as 40.

Janese Hardrick had 12 points, five assists and five steals for Georgia. Tasha Humphrey added 11, and Megan Darrah had 10.

Katie Hozer led Richmond (4-8) with 12 points, followed by Christina Campion with 11.

Richmond turned the ball over 23 times, compared to just 10 for Georgia. Richmond outrebounded Georgia 40-34.

Andy Landers picked up his 750th coaching win. He did it against Michael Shafer, who came to Richmond two years ago after 11 seasons with the Lady Bulldogs. Shafer helped Landers compile a 273-84 record from 1994-2005.
