STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) -Cori Chambers scored 28 points, including 6-for-12 on 3-pointers, to lead No. 15 Georgia to a 74-61 victory over Mississippi State on Thursday night.
Georgia (14-3, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) scored 31 points off of 21 Mississippi State turnovers in a game the visiting Bulldogs led 38-35 at the half after finishing the period with a 5-0 run in the final 14 seconds.
Chambers scored seven points during a 10-2 run to open the second half, giving Georgia a 48-37 lead. Mississippi State cut the margin to 51-48 before Chambers hit another 3-pointer.
Angel Robinson scored 10 points and Chambers also had seven rebounds for Georgia.
Alexis Rack led Mississippi State (10-6, 1-1 SEC) with 14 points and Marneshia Richard added 13. Mississippi State made 38 percent of its shots, while Georgia hit 42 percent.
Both teams struggled from the free-throw line. Georgia was 8-for-14, while Mississippi State was 7-for-14 from the line.
