JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) -Adrianne Davie scored 19 points to pull off a last minute 53-48 Sunbelt Conference win for Arkansas State over Denver on Monday.
Davie was the only double-digit scorer for the Lady Indians (13-5 overall, 7-1 in the SBC). She also went 3-of-3 in free throws and was 8-of-15 in field goals. Lyndsay Schlup, Rudy Sims, and Ashley Anderson each had four assists.
Arkansas State was down by three points at the 23-20 halftime. With six minutes left in the game, the teams traded one-point leads and the score was tied at 48 with 1:19 to go. Davie shot two points on an assist by Schlup and made three free throws in the final 29 seconds to pull out the win.
Tyesha Lowery led Denver (9-7, 4-3) with 12 points and made 2-of-2 free throws. Brooke Meyer added 10 points and made 3-of-10 three-point attempts.
