PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) -Joy Hollingsworth sank 5 of 10 3-pointers and scored 20 points Thursday night to lead Arizona past Washington State 55-51 for the Cougars' 11th straight loss.

Jessica Arnold added 13 points for the Wildcats (8-16, 2-10 Pac-10), who snapped a six-game losing streak.

Marisa Stotler scored 16 points and Katie Appleton had 14 for Washington State (5-17, 1-11). The defeat left the Cougars alone in last place in the Pac-10.

Arnold shot just 4 for 18 from the field, but she helped clinch the victory by hitting two free throws with 8.9 seconds left. The Wildcats made a season-low 29 percent from the field, while Washington State shot 45 percent. But Arizona had a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds.

The Wildcats were charged with just 10 turnovers, a season low.

Hollingsworth, a former Washington state player of the year at Garfield High School in Seattle, tied her career high for 3-pointers made and tied her season high for 3-pointers attempted.

Arizona led 26-24 at the half after trailing most of the way.

The Cougars led by three points or less most of the second half. Stotler forged the seventh tie of the second half when she hit a jump shot with 1:41 left. Amina Njonkou, one of three Wildcats from Cameroon, scored on a layup with 1:06 to go to give Arizona a 53-51 lead.

The Cougars rarely looked to score inside and went to the free-throw line just seven times.
