WASHINGTON (AP) -Christina Quaye scored 27 points and No. 23 Marquette defeated Georgetown 67-52 Saturday to snap a two-game losing skid.

Krystal Ellis added 14 points for the Golden Eagles (20-4, 8-3 Big East). Quaye finished 8-for-12 from the field and made all 10 of her free-throw attempts.

Kieraah Marlow led Georgetown (12-13, 2-10) with 17 points and nine rebounds and Aminata Diop added 14 points.

Marquette led 31-17 at the half. A late rally by Georgetown guard Kristin Heidloff, who had eight points in the run, cut Marquette's lead to 12 with 1:26 left. But the Hoyas got no closer.

The Golden Eagles shot 47.8 percent from the field. It was the second straight loss for the Hoyas, who shot 32.8 percent.
