GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -Amanda Popp scored a career-high 22 points and Rachel Porath added 17, all in the first half, to lead No. 22 Wisconsin-Green Bay to an 81-58 victory over Detroit in a Horizon League tournament quarterfinal Wednesday night.
Porath went 6-for-7 from the field, missing a 3-pointer, and 2-for-2 from the free throw line in helping the top-seeded Phoenix (26-3) to a 42-24 halftime lead. Popp scored 14 of her points in the second half to put the game away.
Reserve Joyce Massey led Detroit (5-26) with 13 points. India Brewster added 12 points and 18 rebounds for the Titans.
Green Bay won its 23rd consecutive game, the second-longest winning streak in the nation behind Middle Tennessee State's 26. The Phoenix beat Detroit for the ninth straight time.
Green Bay, which won its 16 regular-season conference games, was in control throughout, despite committing a season-high 23 turnovers.
The Phoenix opened the game with an 11-2 run and never let the Titans get closer than six points. The Phoenix shot 54.7 percent from the field.
The Phoenix will host Wisconsin-Milwaukee in one semifinal Friday night, while Butler takes on Illinois-Chicago in the other.
